My experience with the Medicus Dual Hinge Driver
The previous day I came across a video showing the Medicus Dual Hinge Driver. Initially, I did not pay much attention to it until I saw a familiar figure, Mark O’Meara explaining the usage of this device.
So, I spend a couple of minutes listening to his explanation and it triggered my curiosity in wanting to find out further on this.
Immediately, I went to one of the local stores to check out the demo set. The guy at the store was quite helpful in explaining the functionality. He was a bit lengthy in the details and I don’t want to bore you with this. Instead, let me share my experience in testing out the Medicus Dual Hinge Driver.
After having understood the concept, I picked it up and it felt heavy for a driver as most drivers nowadays are more on the lighter side. I had some problems doing the full swing as I was not use to the weight and the hinge keeps breaking. After a couple of swings, I was able to control my swing tempo to prevent it from breaking.
The only thing left now is to hit some balls and this store has a golf simulator. Great.
So I put a ball on the tee and started my 1st swing. I broke the hinge and I miss hit it. Darn…I thought to myself, does this thing work? Never mind, I tee off another one. This time, I make sure I got the thing in one piece and to my amaze, the ball flew straight as displayed on the simulator screen.
I hit a couple more and this is what I noticed. As long as the Medicus Dual Hinge Driver does not break and it is traveling along the correct swing plane, your ball will fly straighter. This is due to the fact the club head was able to square the ball at the precise location, resulting in increase accuracy.
With this feeling still fresh in me, I quickly switch to a normal driver. As the normal driver felt so light as compared to the Medicus Dual Hinge Driver, I felt confident to increase my swing speed and I got the same results but with a longer distance.
The Medicus Dual Hinge Driver does work. For those of you who have difficulties in using it initially, this could be due to a few reasons like incorrect swing plane and improper tempo. Use the Medicus Dual Hinge Driver to correct these flaws and once you have done that, you will definitely see an improvement in your driver shots.
